I was finally able to photograph the finished piece! It's been winter grey skies for what seems like a very long time. Today the sun came out, even though the temperatures are frigid.
For some reason, I had to call it Bird Walk. Instead of "birds walking" or "walking birds" or even "the birds go for a walk". The title Bird Walk just seemed to be my only choice.
This is cool, I like how you took the blue bird image in fabric then produced it another medium.

ReplyDeleteI took the pattern I used for the fabric brooch, and placed it on a rolled out slab of clay which was already stamped with the lace, then I cut around it, like a cookie. Afterwards I smoothed the edges, added more stamping, painted it with engobe.
